If you want to apply for naturalization of the Republic of China, you must meet the following three basic conditions:
1. Current identity
The current status must be a foreigner or a stateless person who has not yet held the nationality of the Republic of China.
The reason for naturalization
One of the following reasons for applying for naturalization must be met:
Voluntary naturalization.
The spouse of a national of the Republic of China.
He is a Chinese spouse, divorced due to domestic violence and has not remarried.
The spouse of a Chinese citizen has died and has not remarried, and the relationship with the relatives of the deceased spouse or the marriage has lasted for more than 2 years.
For children of Chinese nationality without (restricted) capacity, there are facts of support, exercise of rights and obligations, or meeting.
Either the parent is or was a national of the Republic of China.
The adopted child of a national of the Republic of China.
Born in the territory of the Republic of China.
Be the guardian or assistant of the Chinese.
An unmarried minor foreigner or stateless person whose father, mother, adoptive father or adoptive mother are currently nationals of the Republic of China.
Foreigners or stateless persons were born within the territory of the Republic of China, and their parents were also born within the territory of the Republic of China.
Foreigners or stateless persons who have been legally residing in the territory of the Republic of China for more than 10 years.
Foreigners or stateless persons have special honors in the Republic of China.
The unmarried minor children of the naturalized person shall apply for naturalization along with them.

3. Other conditions
Other conditions that must be met vary according to the aforementioned "current status" and "reason for naturalization".

Revocation of loss of ROC nationality
Those who have lost the nationality of the Republic of China in accordance with the provisions of Article 11, but have not acquired foreign nationality,
The loss of nationality may be revoked with the permission of the Ministry of the Interior.
- "Nationality Law" § 14
Nationals of the Republic of China who fall under any of the following circumstances shall, with the approval of the Ministry of the Interior, lose the nationality of the Republic of China:
1. The incapacitated person or the person with limited capacity who is exercised by a foreign parent, mother, adoptive father or adoptive mother to bear rights, obligations or guardianship, to acquire the same nationality and to accompany them to live outside the territory of the Republic of China.
2. The spouse of a foreigner.
3. Have the capacity to act in accordance with the laws of the Republic of China and voluntarily acquire foreign nationality. However, those who receive an auxiliary declaration shall obtain the consent of their auxiliary persons.
For those who have lost the ROC nationality in accordance with the provisions of the preceding paragraph, their minor children will also lose the ROC nationality with the approval of the Ministry of the Interior.
The minor children referred to in the preceding paragraph were married before the amendments to this Act on December 29, 109, and those who are under the age of 18 after the amendments come into force shall still apply before the amendments come into force until they reach the age of 18. the regulations.
